1. Initial assessmentStart with a complimentary discussion.
Initial project assessment is complimentary. We review your product, approximate quantity, specification, target market, timing and destination to determine feasibility and the appropriate service scope.
Detailed supplier research, quotation collection, factory comparison, negotiation and other dedicated sourcing work may require a sourcing engagement fee. The applicable fee is quoted before that work starts.
2. Sourcing fees & commissionFees align with the work and outcome.
A project may include a fixed sourcing engagement fee and, where agreed, a success-based sourcing or procurement commission on orders placed through suppliers introduced or managed by Shahkar.
The rate can vary with order value, product complexity and level of support. Any fee, commission basis, minimum charge or credit of an engagement fee against commission will be stated in the project quotation or engagement terms before paid work begins.
3. Supplier informationProgressive disclosure protects both sides.
During an initial complimentary assessment, Shahkar may present supplier capability, location, indicative pricing and commercial information without releasing full direct contact details.
Once the client accepts the sourcing engagement and applicable terms, supplier information can be disclosed as reasonably required for samples, approvals, audits, contracting, compliance and order execution. Shahkar’s value is ongoing coordination—not simply withholding a factory name.
4. Supplier introductionsIntroductions remain protected.
Where Shahkar introduces or identifies a supplier through a paid sourcing engagement, the agreed sourcing or procurement fee may remain applicable if the client subsequently purchases directly from that supplier during the supplier-protection period stated in the engagement terms.
The exact protection period and fee basis should be confirmed in the signed quotation or service agreement for each project.
5. Inspection & auditAvailable independently of sourcing.
Clients may use Shahkar for factory audits, during-production inspection, pre-shipment inspection, container loading supervision and testing coordination even when they sourced the supplier themselves.
Inspection-related charges are quoted separately based on scope, product, factory location, required man-days and any third-party laboratory costs.
6. Warehousing & logisticsPay for the actual handling required.
Receiving, storage, consolidation, repacking, labelling, palletisation, local collection, loading and international freight are quoted according to cargo volume, storage duration, route and service requirements.
Where practical, goods purchased from multiple factories across China can be brought to a suitable consolidation point near the export route and combined into one shipment or container.
7. Payment & commencementPaid work starts after acceptance.
Project-specific paid work begins after the client accepts the quotation or engagement terms and any required upfront fee or deposit has been received. Milestone payments, commissions and third-party costs are payable according to the agreed quotation.
Supplier orders, freight bookings, inspections or other third-party commitments may require advance funding before Shahkar can place or confirm them.
8. Changes & cancellationScope changes are agreed clearly.
If specifications, quantities, destinations, supplier requirements or project scope materially change, Shahkar may revise the quotation, timing or service fee before continuing the additional work.
Fees already earned for completed research, inspections, bookings, handling or third-party commitments are generally not refundable, subject to the project agreement and applicable law.
9. Client approvalsYou retain the key commercial decisions.
Shahkar provides sourcing, coordination, inspection and logistics support. Supplier selection, sample approval, purchase approval and acceptance of commercial terms remain the client’s decisions unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
10. Project agreementYour quotation controls the engagement.
These website terms explain our general commercial approach and do not replace a project-specific quotation, purchase agreement, freight terms or signed service agreement. Where project-specific terms differ, the accepted project documentation governs.
For substantial or ongoing engagements, both parties should ensure the commercial terms are appropriately documented and reviewed for the relevant jurisdictions.
